I didn’t realize how much cap trouble Philly is gonna have within the next 1-2 years. Yikes.

It's actually not as bad as all of that, Hart will be the big one, of course. But with the cap going up in 2 years and G and Jake and JVR off the books in the next 2/3 years with their large cap hits, we should be OK.

Can you please stop proposing Burns for Voracek. Philly would have zero interest in that trade.

It's actually fine provided they can move off JVR and Ghost which shouldn't be too difficult

I like the Flyers, a top-5 team in the NHL as a fan. But I'm seriously worried about their year next year on defense. I was very worried even with Niskanen since it was plain as day to anyone closely watching the Flyers in the playoffs this past postseason that they could NOT generate ANY offense from their blueline, even to just help out their forwards, let alone contribute with points. That was their undoing.

PHI needed to improve then. And now on top of that, Nisky is gone too. I'm sorry, but a Sanheim-Myers (very very good pairing) but after that Ghost-Gustafsson and Hagg-Braun pairing is just a disaster in the making to round out the defense beyond the top pair. DISASTER.

Even though Winnipeg could use a good, young D-Man such as Provorov, I don't think they would give up Laine for it.

You're forgetting a guy named Provorov. And they will address top-4 RD after the expansion draft. No reason to take on Burns contract.

I think I was more thinking within the context of this proposed trade of a Laine/Provorov swap tbf but yea I just brainfreezed and assumed it a done deal in terms of my explanation for Flyers D next year.
