"Capped out team takes on $3+ mil in cap" doesn't really seem like something that we'll be hearing anytime soon, re: Vegas trade.

Also, Carolina declines pretty quickly.

It's pretty well known that defensemen are more valuable than wingers. Marner is a top 10 winger. Theodore is a top 10 Dman. Now add the fact that marner makes more than double Theodore. No chance vegas does that deal. You'd think leaf fans would have more hockey knowledge..

The argument could've been framed around the fact Vegas doesn't need to upgrade their RW at the cost of downgrading their LD.
