Welcome to another random leafs thought with your host GMRyan. Now I’ve been called many things in my Armchair GM days, but never have I been called smart. So take this post with a giant grain of salt or a mug of beer 🍺 if you will. Cause it’s definitely not happening in this simulation.

I’ve always liked the Flyers team so this piece is more of a wish list than any sort of prediction. But my real question is, what would it take? So Flyers fans and Leafs fans....what will it be?

Couts has one of the best contracts in the league. It is quite unlikely that they move him.

If there's one thing the leafs need, it's more star centres at the expense of wingers

Harsh reactions, but I have to agree. Leafs do not do that trade for couturier... neither do the flyers.

Myers sure but flyers aren’t moving him.

I actually don't think the responses are as harsh as they should be, Coots AND Myers and neither Matthews or Marner are involved, is ridiculous. Nylander is a great player but not on the level of an overall game as Coots and Myers is a 23 y/o RHD with first line potential. Flyers would laugh at this proposal.
