    Good deals for the RFAs and signing Koekkoek adds depth.
    STL decline. Parayko is their #1 D now. Bruins also decline, they don't want to move Carlo. CBJ matches the offer sheet.

    idk abt CBJ - they don't have a ton of space and haven't moved to clear it up... could also switch this with a 5.5M x 5 for cirelli (obvious overpayment but that's what you gotta do for offer sheets) bc tampa is in even more of cap hell

    bruins - fair enough, they just lost kruger too, maybe leave him out of the picture and go for caleb jones in edmonton with that trade?

    st louis - i feel like it's pretty close... what do u think the devs wld hav to add?

    You need to add a top pairing defenseman because we no longer have one if we trade Parayko. I like Carrick and Severson but we can't give up our only top pairing guy for middle-pair guys when we already have a bunch of middle-pair guys. And it goes without saying you need a top pairing D to be a cup contender which the Blues believe they are. Value might be fine but it's also gotta suit our needs.

    There’s no trade that involves Parayko without the Blues acquiring a top-pairing defenseman to replace him.

    You are underpaying Cirelli, not overpaying. Id be perfectly fine with OSing him for 6.5. The Devils already have 2 young centres. They dont need a 3rd

    Blues are just not moving him. It would leave them with no #1 D. An overpay would be needed.
