Evander Kanes 3 team trade list says screw you Montreal, And fat chance of Ondrej Palat waiving his full NTC for the San Jose Sharks.

MTL fans are convinced Danault is Bergeron so you’re probably about to get lit up

This deal should be at least complicated for them by virtue of both Danault and Armia being pending UFAs and possibly gone by the end of the season.

Lightning accept in a heartbeat. Value's a little less than fair value but that's more than made up for by virtue of getting the full 5.3mil relief (plus a 2nd) and not giving up any assets to do so. Gives them a far, far greater and realistic chance at retaining both Cirelli and Sergachev (Cernak too).

Between the Sharks making this MTL deal and an opportunity to play with fellow Czeck Hertl, Palat may accept for the San Jose Sharks.

He is no Bergeron at all. He's just better and way more useful to us right now than Kane.
Oh and, he won't be overpaid on his next contract, like Kane is.

That might be a part of their plan because they need all the money they can muster to keep Tatar, Kotkaniemi etc. Acquiring Kane doesn't help in this process in the slightest. It just adds one more name to the list of players they need to worry about losing in the expansion draft.

Sharks shouldn't be the team adding if they are also retaining.

Kane's not overpaid necessarily. He's basically 2-3yrs too much term in his contract but the 7mil cap hit for what he's brought the last few years, is bringing, will bring for the next 2yrs is fair.

Montreal says no, Danault is an important part of the team and losing him bring a big hole in our center core. Also Montreal doesn’t really need more wingers especially ones on long term deals. Also we don’t need prospects we are a contender

Honestly probably wouldn't do the MTL trade. Feels really lopsided against us and I don't think it's what Montreal is looking for either. Everything else looks okay I suppose.

Boston has no interest, need, or cap space for Simek as we have discussed. Maybe some day you will believe me. 🤷🏻‍♂️
