I still can’t believe we got McDonagh from that trade. I will say though, McDonagh and Weber (or Subban) would have been filthy.

That trade was/would be horrible and Montreal fans have hated Kreider since 2014 when he ENDED OUR CUP CHANCES... anyway i don't think Montreal would want to trade Romanov

Kreider career highs -- 28 goals, 53 points
Gomez career highs -- 33 goals, 84 points (granted he only had 1 20+ goal season lol)

Not saying the Gomez trade was a good one, just that Gomez > Kreider over the course of his career. He did fall off a cliff in his last few seasons though.

Kreider's the closest one I could find, considering contract and age.

Emelin tripped him and you wouldn't have won the series with Price anyway, Tokarski played out of his mind. Get over it.

Gomez had way better stats and Mcdonagh was a nobody. Sorry but it doesn't hold.

McDonagh was a nobody? He was viewed as highly as Romanov is right now, if not more.

I forgot Mcdonagh played in the second most skilled hockey league on earth and won the Best Defenseman award at the WJC.😉

lol complete BS that Emelin "tripped" him. Kreider literally throws his legs forward as if he were sliding like he's stealing 2nd base... clear as day at the 30 sec mark

Who knows who would of won the series honestly. One thing for sure, right from Game 1 NYR's gameplan was to crash the night. Usually that saying is a figure of speech.... but Kreider took it quite literally
