Hawks actually have some size in the pipeline which makes me think Bowman might prefer to have a player like Crouse. And bringing back old hawks is a Bowman move so yeah +3 Bowman points for that. (For the record Bowman points are not a good thing.)

Not sure where the value is coming from that gets a 2nd thrown in with Kuemper and Larsson on the Arizona side? Nylander has been underwhelming as an NHLer to say the least (You could probably value him similarly to Lias, which was a very late 2nd), Subban is a league average backup at best, and then there's a 4th.

IMO, Kuemper gets a 1st+B prospect by himself.

Take out larsson and the 2nd from arizona and change the 4th from chicago to atleast a 2nd. Now maybe arizona thinks about it

To think you get a 2nd with kuemper when you trade scrubs for them.

I gotta ask, is there any reason why Hamilton would wanna sign for us? Sincerely, I’m only asking cuz the canes have the space and they are firmly in their contending window.

I'm not sure I understand the Kuemper trade either. This team is for next year, so the Blackhawks would be trading for one year of Kuemper next season, except AZ is more motivated to trading him now as this site is showing them over the cap at $84M, and I believe I read a bit over the summer where they wanted payroll to be closer to the $75M range? Plus this year would be more of the Blackhawks need for a vet goaltender.

I think the hierarchy for free agency is term ($$$$), and then winning. I'm not sure I'd go 7yrs/$7M for Hamilton, however I do believe that if the Blackhawks offered that and the Hurricanes offered 6/6M or 7/5M, yeah, he'd sign in Chicago. If both teams offered the same contract I'd imagine he'd stay in Carolina.
