How Cheap Will They Sign

Created by: krakowitz

Description
I feel a lot better about the team if we added another middle six forward, especially one like Haula. He's got a lot of skill and versatility to his game, health is the main concern. I trust him to play center in case one of our top nine centers go down. He's a really good addition for us if we're able to fit him under the cap.

Hamonic is more consistent than Jensen and will come cheaper. I also trust him to play a top four role if Carlson or Schultz gets hurt. If we're able to move Jensen's contract anywhere for anything, I think there's a legitimate way for us to improve late in the offseason.

Keep Jensen instead of Hamonic. I think Hamonic will get more money than Jensen

They'll definitely be cheap, but I don't think they'll be that cheap. I could see a team with cap space giving Hamonic 3 million. Maybe New Jersey?

If we keep Jensen we don't have the money for Haula. Essentially moving Jensen gets us two players for the cost of one, and I think Hamonic is better than Jensen. Too many bonehead mistakes from Jensen, plus if we get rid of him now, his salary will be off the books when we have to pay Ovi, Vrana and Samsonov.

I think both players will get more than 1.5 though.

I could see that. Both players are definitely worth more than this, just hoping the combination of a pandemic and a contending team might interest them to signing a one-year

They're both worth more without a doubt. I think Hall signing his one-year kinda sent a message to the remaining guys out there that this is their best bet. A one-year deal with a contending team during an uncertain financial landscape is probably the best they can hope for, right? Sure a team with more cap space might offer a more lucrative one-year deal, but I would think they'd have done it by now if they were going to get anywhere close to their typical market value
