too much hey?? I am a Jets fan, but tough to gauge what others think about Laine and what his worth is. I do think we will all agree that Laine will fetch much more than someone of just Konecnys quality.

Konecny is a fine young player with a great contract. He's not as good as Laine but in the current economic climate his contract has value.

Agreed. It’ll be a big jump in salary for 4 extra goals last year... people on here were proposing packages like Laine is Ovechkin; I’d argue he’s closer to Simon Gagne. He can score but he’s not a world-beater.

End of the day I’d rather have TK at 5.5 for 5 more seasons than whatever 8-figure monstrosity Laine is going to be looking for next year.
