Typical Leafs team, hype up their fans and get eliminated in the 1st round is what I see here, bottom 6 forwards aren't good enough, too many offensive minded players in that d core, and Crawford's time as a contending goaltender has past long ago

Thanks for the feedback. I think Crawford is still an elite goaltender when healthy, he led the league in high danger save percentage. Behind a strong defence that can protect him I believe it’ll be alright.

That’s fair. I would consider Lafreniere, Hall, Hyman, Mikheyev & Simmonds all as heavy players, so I think they’ve got enough to beat tight defensive teams.

So basically, I traded Nylander for Theodore, Robertson & Sandin for Lafreniere and a 1st for Severson. Hall is signed as a UFA in hindsight.

I’m curious to know why you think the defence and goaltending is weak? Theodore and Severson are an upgrade over their current right side (Brodie & Holl). Crawford is an upgrade on Andersen.

Nylander was probably better this past season but the past 3 in total, Hall was superior. We need to keep him mind that Nylander gets to play alongside Matthews whereas Hall had to play with Zajac & Soderberg, yet he still produced at similar if not higher rates.

Besides Morgan Rielly, the rest of the defence corps are known for being strong 2 way players. Crawford led the league in high danger save percentage last season, so IDK where you are getting your information from?
