I would think the first would interest them, not sure what other gms think of mittelstadt and Thompson. Neither has shown they can hang in the nhl and Tampa is still a win now team. Plus expansion is coming. Now that we have a new gm, its not a stretch to think neither player makes the sabres out of camp.

Then have Joker on the second pair and Risto third. Miller and Montour can play left or get scratched. Montour plays left, Miller gets scratched mccabe finishes roster as 3rd LD.

I think Joker will be much better than Cernak, Cernak is kinda like a better version of Mayfield
