It doesn't matter what you offer for MacKinnon, hes not going anywhere. Colorado's time is now and hes the leader of that group.

Although it's not realistic, it looks good. You would have to give up more for MacKinnon and what if you can't trade for MacKinnon. You would be screwed with young guys when you are supposed to be a contending team.

As an avalanche fan seeing this, I instantly say hell no. Mackinnon is on a no trade list, don’t see him EVER being traded

MacKinnon is better than Matthews. You also get Hronek, Bertuzzi, and Namestnikov for Robertson, Sandin, and a 1st. If I'm Toronto I'm doing this.

Wow and no one retains money!! Much better than any others leafs post I click on. Cause they always want to trade a superstar and take back one but want the other team to retain a bunch of money too. Atleast you didn’t do that. This trade wins in my book for that!!

The difference in MacKinnon and Matthews contracts are a huge deal though. Mathews one of the best contracts in the league!! If not the best!!

Both Colorado and Detroit decline, Not giving up that much for Matthews he'd probably walk in a few years anyways, And Nate MacKinnon is going absolutely nowhere.

This is such a waste of time. It doesn't even make TO better. Matthews is as close to equal MacKinnon as anyone is in the league. Matthews is younger and has better stats over his first 300 games than MacKinnon did.

This is just plain awful, seriously no way you actually think the avs a cup contending team would trade their franchise player for a bunch of futures

This is beyond awful, which makes even worse you claim it’s fair value...yikes

One player can't carry a team or even have enough of an effect on a team to make the Detroit trade worth accepting.
