I’m a big fan of seeing the Nuge/Drai/Yam line together. I’d like to see Archibald in the lineup too, but I think he’s narrowly the 13th forward unfortunately.

Perhaps Chiasson for a LD at some point? Little more depth behind Russell (or instead of Russell) and give the 12th forward spot a rotation between the scratches?

If Barrie is on the first pair, we are dead meat. He is a 3rd pair D

Ya don’t see Barrie with Nurse, Nurse will see all the heavy lifting d zone starts, Barrie’s going to get all the o zone starts to maximize is potential
I see Nurse and Bear getting 24 mins a night with the other 2 pairs splitting the difference giving Nurse that much ice time scares the hell out of me we’ve seen over the last couple yrs when Klefs been out Nurses play really drops off over that 21 min a night range he’s a true #3 dman he’s not good enough defensively to face top match ups every night. It sucks our season rest on Jones and if Tip can get his stars to buy into defensive first everyone wants to point to the goaltending, goaltending won’t matter if the latter two don’t buy in or workout.

Edmonton probably doesn't need anymore LHD, unless it's a veteran on a cheap, 1 year deal. I think Lagesson can take over the 3LD spot from Russell, but if management doesn't agree with that then maybe we see a trade or signing.

I think given the potnetial of the lineup Drias line rides the 1st. McD is better supported with weaker wingers on the 2nd (imagine any 2nd line of other teams facing up against McD...byebye). Likely to see more call-ups in the defense, until Klefbom comes back (if he does before season ends).

RNH - Drais - Yama
Kahun - Mc D - Kassian /Poolparty
Ennis - Turris - PoolParty /Kassian
Neal - Kharia - Chaisson / Archibald
--(call-ups) = Benson, Nygard

Nurse - Bear
Jones - Barrie
Russell - Larsson
-- (call-ups) = Lagesson, Bouchard
