The Islanders cant take on that kind of money next year. They have new contracts to Pelech, Beauvillier and Sorokin to pay out.

Reilly Smith is just as valuable as Bailey, not sure why you would give one up for the other.

Smith scores more bailey creates. But we cant take that money on already in a cap pinch.

I mean if you want to move Smith Montreal will take him and offer you Amria + Byron (just to make money work) + 2nd for him. Armia is 4 years younger than Baily has 20+ goal potential, is bigger and costs half as much and you don't have to move Martinez and Nosek as part of the deal. Somehow I don't think that Vegas would go for it though lol.

Exactly it doesn't really make sense for either team. I do think Reilly Smith is heavily underrated. The guy almost destroyed us in the 2016 playoffs when he was with the Panthers.

He's not better than Bailey I just think teams give up on him too fast. Dallas got Seguin so it's okay on their end, but Boston and Florida traded him for no good reason.

Having AA as a 2C is a recipe for disaster.

The NYI can’t take on that cap space and I don’t love the move from a Vegas standpoint. Glass as a 4C seems weirdly odd.
