IDK. Just a possibility and he is a major upgrade from johnson and cole and could help develop Byram and Makar

This would make it very difficult to sign everyone next offseason. Subban is under contract for 2 years while Coles deal expires next offseason

Also I don't think Subban fits with this team. Even if he returns to Norris form he still won't have PP1 time over Makar - Avs are better off with Cole and Johnson whose roles won't conflict with other top D men on the team

Did you watch Pk last season? Bc compare to ej and Coles season, pk would be a downgrade. He was pretty bad in NJ

if you want to downgrade your defense's DEFENSIVE abilities, this is the move to make. You literally lose 2 penatly killers and gain none.

Awful. Although NJ gladly takes it

well it would be pretty hard to be any worse. I assume you are suggesting that he will be serviceable next year, and I sure hope so. I am pulling for the guy, as he seems to be a great dude. That said, I will believe it when I see it. Outside of Ruff somehow making modifications that allow him and others to thrive, theres no evidence to suggest that he will be serviceable or good next year.

He could have a bounce-back season. Imagine if he just had a bad season and bounces back and is a top 5 Norris canidate

If they take Subban, the Devils are retaining at least 3 mill

No one is trading for PK this year. For one, they need to actually see him bounce back. Second, he is due another large bonus payment at the end of the 20-21 season, after which he's only due $2m real world salary. Anyone considering kicking the tires will wait for that to be paid out.

Valid point, but then again he really didn't have a team play around him last season. If any team did want him, New Jersey would have to take on a lot of his salary. That's what I mean.
