If I was a leafs GM and wanted to trade a winger pre-pandemic, it would 100% be marner.

In covid times, it would have to be nylander. Teams will give you good value for a 7 million dollar player. I don’t think the same can be said of an 11 million dollar guy.

Fleecing for minny. CRAPrizov won’t be half the player marner is, even though I find marner overrated. Leafs also don’t need Dumba

According to Mirtle (at The Athletic) NHL teams were not at all interested in giving good value for Nylander this offseason.

yeah there was some article where they asked 21 player agents who was the big-ticket player most likely to be moved this year and 4 of them said Marner lol. I believe Laine and Eichel both got more nods but you know, us Leaf fans.

Yes - the founder and editor-in-chief of The Athletic who talked to multiple GMs and people within the Leafs' organization about it, and was correct in pretty much everything else he said about the Leafs' were trying to do this offseason.

one blogger from his basement was like ' the leafs could trade marner for cap relief' and all these leaf fans without a brain decided that meant elliotte friedman said marner is being shopped.

yes mitch makes alot of money, but its better than paying a player on a decline, at least marner will only get better.
