You'd have to take cap space of some kind from the Leafs to make it work. Other than that, the trade doesn't make a lot of sense for them. You are giving them more of what they have a lot of, depth fowards and defensemen, while giving them a bigger cap hit than they pay the other depth players they have currently. For that, you want one of their top prospects.

You are not getting Liljegren unless a top-4 RD comes back.

Yes, but it's definitely not what they should and would do.

Liljegren is not worth much, but it makes no sense at all for the Leafs' to take Kevan Miller.

Hard no unfortunately. Dubas is not gonna move a highly touted prospect for bottom 6 players. Replace Miller with Carlo and receive a 2nd or 3rd round pick and you may be getting somewhere IMO

It would be something like:

BOS gets:
Liljegren
2nd or 3rd

TOR gets:
Carlo

TOR would then need to move cap to accomodate Carlo, and even your proposal on Miller and Ritchie

I’d rather hold onto Kayumov, so chicago rejects.

Well if you changed Lilljern into Bouchard and added a 2nd,which would be just as fair of a deal, you would probably freak out.

Bouchard is way better than Liljegren, so of course I wouldn’t like it.

crazy how he's like, further down on the list and has a worse +/- on a similarly bad team

Bouchard's better just deal with it. Bouchard is a top 4 defence man potential prospect, and Liljegren is a like a third pair potential defence man. All I know that’s your list! I have watched them both play, and Bouchard is better. If you weren’t so biased you would see that.

Yes he is. You guys need to stop being biased for one minute, and actually look at how good Bouchard is. He’s better.
