Heh. You are certainly the very optimistic sort.

You're still $1M over the cap and nobody claimed Johnson when he was free, you will certainly not get a 2nd for him. Tampa will need to add a 1st, at least. Expect minimum two forwards gone so there are opportunities for Stephens, Volkov, Barre-Boulet and Joseph.

That’s certainly optimistic. The main problem here is the Johnson trade. He passed through waivers a couple weeks ago meaning no one was willing to take him for free. Why would someone take him now unless Tampa was adding or retaining salary?

A mil over while still only 20 man roster.

TJ is a dump (as many have already stated).

Detroit needs to be compensated not the other way.

Coburn is 35 and in the final season of his contract and to a rebuilding team like Detroit he has no value. His contract is only $1.7M so take out the draft picks and TB gets future considerations and that is something I could see Yzerman doing to help out friend.

The only reason I did that was because Nashville needs center depth. Johansen's declined severely, and Duchene's the best they've got. I agree on the cap dump thing that was just my thought process.

That's what I was thinking for both trades. And he can help the d-core (they need it too; their best defender is John Merrill yikes) plus Detroit's got young talent they just need to be led in the right direction, and an addition like Coburn, who's got a ring and 17 NHL seasons under his belt. A veteran who knows what it takes to make it (then again in this playoff run he played 3 games but still 3 more SCP games than almost everyone).

I think the Wing's have at least 2 more seasons in the lottery if we get a little luck. So I don't think the Wing's are even thinking about the playoffs. I'm pretty sure the goal is to get the winning % above .275.

Perhaps is defined as "used to express uncertainty or possibility." Anything on CapFriendly is uncertain.
