Ledge_and_Dairy will say Monahan and Tkachuk should not be on the same line. Right @Ledge_And_Dairy ?

Hurts us too much to lose Hanifin on the left side, so not worth it for that return

they've literally been interested in Hanifin since before he was drafted.

Nah. I don’t think they’ve wanted him since he was on his entry deal. Jimmy murphy and joe haggerty are happy to tweet about it, and stir up the masses though.

For the trade, I'll pass. Moving DeBrusk leaves a hole in the top6.

It's the fans that are obsessed with him, not the Bruins.

I think this only works if Bs can also get Hoffman to sign a cheap 1 year deal to play 2 LW.

Yes if it's more than one year. But this needs to be done first.

This deal puts them at about $1.8 mil under the cap, give or take. Does Hoffman take anything close to that? Do they do a Kevin LeBlanc secret handshake deal for a cheap 1 year with the promise of a better extension?

Unlike Labanc, Hoffman is UFA so he could get a better offer next year from any other team. Assuming Pastrnak starts on LTIR, it gives Bruins some time and $. They would also need to get rid of a guy like Moore and some other little moves to clear $. IMO, Granlund is a better fit at a better price. Hoffman will cost too much and is unlikely to produce as much as he did with Florida.
