Kappy got a 1st and very good prospect. Johnsson had offers of up to 2nd+ but yes, Kerfoot is gonna get traded for 3rd.. also what the hell is that Buffalo trade..

Wings pass, you can give us a 2nd for taking that contract and helping your cap space, keep him, or trade him to a playoff team where you will get back a mediocre prospect/pick.

Ah yes the defiance of the over-capped who think trades happen in a vacuum. Wow you barely ever see that here.

Early in the offseason I think kerfoot for a 3rd to Detroit was possible but not now. I still dont mind the player I'd like to have him but Its too late i think.

What has Thompson done in the last 2-3 years to give any indication he could handle 3C?

Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me to make the team worse.

Agreed. He has never even played center as a pro. Not even in the AHL.

Detroit passes, Not surrendering a 3rd round pick for Alexander Kerfoot, This isn't how rebuilding teams work.

Everytime I see someone put Thompson at center, I realize they have never watched him play once. He isnt a center

that's some kind of over payment for Thompson. He's not better than Engvall let alone Kerfoot

Why give away two NHL capable Dmen in Holl and Dermot who combined make the same money as one Dman Vatanan?
The love of other teams RHD and AHLers over your own NHLers....makes no sense

Dermott for TT would probably be fair. TT hasn't proven anything at NHL level

Leafs aren't over capped ... they can become cap compliant without trades.

Funny that you didn't know that before commenting.

No, that's not even close value wise.

You're right, Toronto would have to add a 2nd or 3rd
