I think Toronto’s F are better than Winnipeg’s. let’s see how stasney does in his second time there, but they still are really missing a #2C. Winnipeg’s D is also too highly ranked. I’d put them second last. Murray is better than Koskinan too

Toronto's offense is more flashy, but to me, their top six Laine-Connor-Ehlers-Wheeler-Scheifele-Stastny is amongst the best in the league, and their bottom six is better too.

At the risk of sounding biased, I think the Leafs goalie tandem should be ranked higher than Vancouver's.

It's offense, defense, and goaltending. Three different rankings

Ya, first three have real tandems but it goes downhill quickly from there.

Forwards you can make the argument, but I think their D is definitely too high.

Morrisey-DeMelo
Niku-Pionk

Is pretty weak imo

And Vancouver too. MTL D is also better than Edmonton, especially with klefbom out

Nah. An injured guy shouldn't count when ranking forward or defense group. Klefbom is still an excellent top two dman. Then Boston would have the worst forward group with Marchand and Pasta out

The jets have a pretty formidable top 6, imo it's:

LW1: Hyman <<<< Connor
C1: Matthews >> Scheifele
RW1: Marner >>>> Wheeler
LW2: Mikheyev << Ehlers
C2: Tavares >>>>>>>>>>> Stastny
RW2: Nylander = Laine (at least right now, Laine could get it together and score 50 one day)

in an ideal world, matthews/tavares are getting 45-50, Nylander is scoring 30-35 (was scoring at a 40 goal pace after babs was fired), and marner is potentially hitting 20-25 with like 75-80 assists

that alone is a hilariously absurd top 4 (let alone hyman/mikheyev's 40-50 points). We've never got to see them firing on all cylinders together. When Tavares/Marner dominated, matthews was injured and willy missed the year, yet the year after matthews was fine, willy was great and marner/tavares were injured off and on

if they can all stay healthy this year toronto's offence will be disgustingly good

Bruh if I'm sticking to your Ideal situation is it fait to says that MTL top 9 could each get 20 goals? Cuz I think each of them can do it... You see that it makes absolutely no sense lol

no but like, all those numbers I stated have been reached by those players in the last 2 years. they just haven't done it all at the same time

matthews was on pace for 45 in 18/19 then 55 in 19/20
marner scored 26 and 94p and was on pace for like 20 and 92p this year
nylander was scoring at a 55p pace in his contract year then scored at a 40g 75p pace this year
tavares had 47 then scored at a 34 goal pace this year (a down year)

not out of the question to say they perform next year at that pace, literally all of the big 4 were point per game after keefe took over for babs

But last year Matthews was almost 50, Nylander was over 30, Tavares had 26, Hyman 21, Marner 16. This was not in a full season of work, where only Matthews topped 70 games. So Toronto's offence can ACTUALLY do that. Montreal only had 5 players top 15 with your top scorer having 22.

As long as Ottawa is last across the board, I’m good, they aren’t good on paper.

I could definitely see it. I usually see leafs/Canucks/oilers/habs ranked first but rarely the flames. I think they might be the best/ well rounded team on paper.

Other ones have a glaring weakness, flames aren't perfect but I don't see any problem not easily fixed at deadline
