What about not making that trade at the 2011 draft?

I’m sure you know exactly what trade I’m talking about 😂

The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim thank the Leafs fan base, and former GM Brian Burke, for their continued support.

The Leafs gave Anaheim the pick that they used to select Josh Manson in that same draft ... 🤦‍♂️

That trade is a little more unpopular. Not as many know it like the other one. However, the big right hand shot every Leafs fan was craving, Manson, could’ve been drafted by us in the first place. 😂

Yup. Burkie was one of a kind. Essentially Gibby, Rakell and Manson in exchange for Biggs and Ryan Rupert.

The fact that they were still paying off the Kessel deal made it extra hilarious. The only team that tried to look as bad in that draft was Columbus, who moved Voracek, 8OA (Couturier), and 68 OA (Cousins) for Jeff Carter...who was moved for Jack Johnson and 27OA (Marko Dano) 8 months later.

As a Ducks fan, I've looked back at the Burkie years multiple times...guy couldn't a f**king letter, let alone an NHL team.
