Technically Makar has played 2 seasons since he played in the playoffs last year but since he was still Calder eligible technically this was his first real season

As per the NHL Hockey Operations Guidelines, no.

Rookie: first year in the NHL. Chabot has played 205 NHL regular season games and three complete seasons, that's a veteran. Heiskanen has played 150 NHL games and two complete seasons, that's also a veteran.

So current prospects (Lafreniere, Kaprizov, Byfield, Stutzle, Rossi, Zegas, Raymond, Byram and Drysdale) and 2019-20 season rookies (Kubalik, Hughes, Kakko, Dach, Suzuki, Makar, Fox, Marino, Hughes, Shesterkin, Merzlikins).

As I get what you are saying they are till young guns. Say dahlin in example, he’s a young gun but just off the verge of a rookie. I consider a vet to be in the league for 6 plus years but that’s just me

Ilya sorokin?

As Sorokin is a amazing prospect, I rather have a tendy that has played nhl games than a tendy that has played only in the KHL and he will also have to adapt

I don’t disagree at all. We can both make arguments in why would could and why we couldn’t

I just think he's not nearly as good now as he will be in 2-3 years. So it looks like Drysdale is better but in the long-term I think Sanderson will be the better player.

Sanderson will be better all around I believe but Drysdale’s offensive ability is outstanding
