Description

Columbus is tough. They need the cap space to resign Dubois, so there goes the money he would get, but like, I don't see a realistic trade that would send Dubinsky and/or Foligno out. Plus with Foligno being their captain, I don't think it's on the top of their list to trade him anyways.

Nyquist will be on LTIR for a while iirc, I dont remember the exact injury or how long he will be out though

That frees up a decent amount of cap space for them

EDIT: plus Dubinsky, not sure whats happening with him but Id assume he wont be playing after missing all of last season

Do you think CBJ looks to free agency to fill in for those guys? Or just give more ice time to rookies/younger forwards?

I'm not the person you replied to but I wouldn't be shocked to see us sign another UFA, although I'm a fan of letting the kids play. I was against the Koivu signing as he likely took a spot from Robinson/Stenlund, and if we sign another UFA they'd likely take a spot from foudy/bemstrom who need middle 6 minutes to succeed
