But our team is full and he doesn't bring anything special that we don't have in our team. At least if he was physical he could bring something but that's not the case

How's your depth looking at the AHL level? Because if this is going to be a compacted season (and it is) and they're going to be travelling (and they are) you're going to be seeing call-ups due to injury and COVID-19. Gambrell isn't perfect - no rookie is - but he's got an upside and if I weren't so eager for the Sharks to suck this year so we can pick high next year I'd be arguing that we should keep him.

He has upside according to what? He was terrible last year and only got 4th line minutes.

He was 24 Last year and didn't deserve to play in the NHL. There's a higher chance any single player in Laval would do better than him.
