I like two of the trades except for the Zetterberg deal. Do you remember the David Clarkson deal with Vegas/Toronto last year? For cap relief, the Leafs got that for basically a bag of pucks. Johnson is a decent maybe 2nd line center for the Wings and has some experience for a few years to shift that tram in the right direction. I fon't think they have to pay through the nose to get that.

I’d ask for more to bail TBL out of their cap problems. A late first to take on a multi-year contract @5M and on the wrong side of 30. Maybe retention to soften the blow? What teams now can actually afford to take on TJ that he’d possibly waive to?

Wings pass, Z is not going to get moved and Tampa has to add in a 3rd and a good prospect for us to take that player.
