If a team is in the middle of rebuilding because they have too many old player contracts and needs young players, why would they move a young player (one of their best NHL young players) and three picks for a 30+ year-old defenseman who will decline during their compete window? I think several teams would jump on McD, but the Kings is a bad pick for a trade partner.

why the hell would you put mcdavid on the wing? He's a center, he needs the puck to be mcdavid otherwise he is useless. He literally skates the puck into the net is how he scores his goals or he skates to a spot with the puck and 2 guys cover him leaving somebody open on the far side.
