I don’t think there’s an issue with value, but Mika means a ton to the Rangers franchise, and I’d have a hard time seeing Lou trading Barzal even if the value is great.

MZ has been the better player the last 2 years.... he’s 4 years older but if I’m the rangers I don’t make this trade.... losing the best player in the deal and a ton of other things

for 8 years Barzal will cost you $10.5 mil and with Fox, Kakko and Lafreniere needing new deals in the next 2 to 4 seasons. Fat chance they can afford him.
