To be clear some of these prospects are not necessarily underrated so much as it feels like maybe certain portions of the hockey world has given up on them to early, others play for small markets and get don’t much coverage, some have play styles that don’t result in big numbers and as a result they aren’t noticed as much, some have their success unfairly attributed to linemates and so on. I put this list together while distracted in class so feel free to give me feed back, I want to revisit this team later with suggestions I may have missed, because after all odds are I don’t know many of the great underrated players!

Bouchard?

Interesting. I think it really depends on what team's system they are a part of. In general the Coyotes, Ducks, and Panthers don't get any spot lights in the hockey world. I think Arttu Ruotsalainen is a very underrated prospect. Sure he's 23 but he is absolutely tearing up Liiga and is one of the reasons that a guy like Maccelli is putting up big numbers too

I strongly considered it but went with Broberg over him, I may slot him in next time if I revisit this concept

Ruotsolainen would have been a really good idea, I may put him in next time I do this, and yeah this is definitely not gonna have any leaf prospects any time soon lol.

For how good Jarventie has been, I feel like he's been super slept on outside of the Sens Fandom. He's gone from reach to steal in record time.

Imo Krebs is almost criminally underrated

Idk it may just be a me thing but I see a lot of potential in him, and not a lot of discussion about him

I like that you mentioned him because him and Bouchard in like 4 to 5 years or maybe even less are going to be the oilers top pairing

My theory is that Vegas fans have yet to see a Vegas drafted player/prospect truly make an impact so they don’t understand the impact a prospect can have, but idk I may be wrong

lol, yeah the leafs draft a guy in like the 5th round and SportsNet and TSN are calling it the steal of the draft

I think Lavoie shows good potential, don’t know much about the second guy tho

thanks, Dmitri Samorukov is a left shot D-man who was Drafted 84th overall in 2017 and is playing in the KHL for CSKA Moskva right now and has 8 points in 27gp and is +19, he has gotten Rookie of the week like 4 times

I wouldn’t say he reached that level yet, maybe the new scenery will help him out, he can still be redeemed. The others have kind of had their windows closed
