This offensive lineup is really close to what I think, except I believe that top RW will be a free agency/trade acquisition over Simontaival and Lizotte will be taken by Seattle opening the way for Madden or JAD.

    As for defense:

    2021 draft pick - Doughty

    Bjornfot - Grans

    Anderson - Roy

Not really, I just don't see where he fits if Kaliyev isn't as good on the LW and now with the acquisition of Andersson. I don't really like Wilson with Byfield, only Vilardi.

Kaliyev Vilardi Wilson would make an amazing line though.

I also think that Simontaival is going to surprise us and turn into a Cam Atkinson type player.

I'm not sold on Grans, but we'll see. I also think the Kings need to do everything in there power to keep Lizotte whether that's a 2nd in compensation or giving them someone like Kupari. Lizotte and Roy will play a very important role in our cup runs and will be super underrated IMO.

Simontaival for whatever reason I have a special feeling about. I think he will surprise us and turn into a Cam Atkinson type player.

Hopefully that 2021 draft pick is Clarke, but I'd settle for Power I guess.

Injuries and lack of good play in NA have decreased my hopes and expectations for him. I think Simontaival, Fagemo, and Thomas will pass him up for a spot on the team within the next few years. I'd give him to Seattle so they don't steal Lizotte from us tbh.

Don't sleep on Brock Faber. I watched the Minnesota vs. Ohio State game last night and he looked real good.

Trying not to, but his lack of offensive upside makes me sleepy.

Btw what makes you think Kaliyev won't make a good LW again?

I didn't say he wouldn't be a good LW, just that he has only played at RW in his career. All of his production thus far has come from the right side, and I wouldn't mess with what works.

I get that, but at the NHL level I don't think he'll be very productive offensively. If he turns into a 30 point D Man for the Kings I'd be fine with that, but as Doughty age increases he'll decline in point totals and we'll need help in that area. Two 30 point dmen who are solid defensive is something I can settle with, but I prefer someone like Clarke who will be a 50 point guy elite defensively.

I mean it could, all those picks within the first three rounds have breakout upside, but I'm not super high on him. Kings still don't have that top line right winger role filled, Kaliyev will be playing Turcotte in Ontario so they might want to keep those two together if they get called up?

Pastrnak could be a UFA in a few years! Mantha in 2024 or 2025. If not we will have a lot of assets we could use in a trade.

I don't know about that. Every scouting report that I've read about Clarke says that he's an exceptional offensive defenseman but below average defensively.

Doughty was similar. Projected as more of an offensive defenseman if I remember correctly and his first season he was horrible defensively. In time, he turned into the most complete defenseman of his generation.
