I would say Cernak's not available. After Shattenkirk left he is basically their only good RHD (Schenn and Foote) plus he should be pretty cheap.

Do u mean I'm giving them a great deal?
But isn't it worth getting hoffman?
The main problem is our core, right?

Ok so first that is not enough for Hoffman.
Secondly Bennett is worth a LOT more than a 4th. He is probably worth a late 1st.
Hanifin is not the problem, he is part of the solution. Also what happens if Valimaki gets injured again then Tanev goes down as well (because he probably will). Hoffman is a defensive liability and is not what Calgary needs

But I kind of disagree with u on Bennett. Its not that Bennett is not worth that much, its that in this economic situation, If u put Bennett up for a 1st, no one will even ask. Bennett is eating up a big chunk of cap for only putting up 15 points so idk I think its worth it to let I'm go

Bennett is not eating up a big chunk of cap at all... 2.55 is nothing. Bennett also spent a majority of the season pinned to the wing of the offensive black hole Jankowski. Towards the end of the season when Ryan got the flu, Bennett was moved to center Dube and Lucic he was very impressive. That shot stretch was why that line was tested in the playoffs and then proved to be extremely successful with Bennett leading the team with 5 goals and 8 poins in 10 games. Calling Bennett a 15 point player is the same as calling Gaudreau a 60 point player. It's just not correct

Then why was he a near point per game in the playoffs?

Some people just do better in the playoffs. There is a reason y the playoffs stats and regular season stats are sepparated

Ok then why has he been a consistent 25+ point player in every other season?

ok I agree he is a consistent 25 point player but what we really need is Bennett to step up this year. Can he do it, no one knows.

That is the hope, this is the first time since his rookie season he wont be stapled to Jankowski's wing

Like this year we really need Bennett to step up. Because it has been seen that the core is not that reliable, and as a Flames fan, I can't watch another first-round exit

Tbh, I really like Bennett, I really want to see the Flames grow. But I just can't stand another first round exit. So that's y I traded Bennett. But I should be patient.
