I would like to know exactly who you think are better than Danault. You say 95% of the 2C's in the league are better but in the East alone I can only think of 4 2C's who are better (Krejci (debatable), Malkin, Backstrom and Tavares. I would say Hayes is almost equal but everyone else is at least one step below Danault right now) So your 95% is not even close it is more like 25%, which means he is most definitely a 2C.

So remind me why Montreal and their fan base is peddling him??
Because they also want part of paying a 29 year old 3C 5 x5 at end of this season.
I dont dislike Danault, but do not see him as a top 6 C on a TOP CONTENDER.
Would not make any sense for NY to keep him long term. Zib is up year after next and that is when a 5x5 contact on my 3C is an issue.
Why do you think Strome only got 2 years? And younger than Danault.
Danault is a very good player.
You take it too personal. After this upcoming season you know I'm right. Heck Danault , himself, has to understand it, with looming cap issues league wide also.
SMH....

1. Most fans are trading him cause they 1. Don't see the value in having 3 top 6 centers or 2. They want KK to have a larger role and to save some cap space.

2. IF Danault signs at 5.5 x 5 there is not on Montreal fan on the planet that would complain about that deal even with him turning 29.

3. He IS easily a top 6 center on a contender. Philly Hayes is 2 C and Danault is either slightly better or equal to him. Avs Kadri is 2C again Danault is equal to or slightly better. Tampa Cirelli is 2C and Danault is better right now. Dallas Faska is 2C and Danault is again better right now. NYI 2C is Pageau and Danault is better than him. Only Washington, Toronto and Edmonton have a better 2C than Danault as far as contenders from this year go.

4. No idea what made you think I took anything personal as I just laid out who in the east was BETTER and who was not.

Pretty sure the Islanders 2C is Nelson not Pageau.

Even still Danault is better than Nelson right now. Probably not by much but still better.

Don't think so, they're both underrated players though.

Ok looking at their stats side by side I will concede that they are equals. It does not support his arguement that 95% of the league's 2C are better than Danault or that Danault would not be a 2C on a contender that was all I was trying to point out.

Only proves my point. All that ice time as a 1C and all you expect is 50 pts. Hes a 30 pts 3C when slotted correctly on a contending team.
Again, hes a great add for THIS SEASON.
Would not any part of a 5 x 5 contract for a then 29 year old 3C.

Yes ignore my first statement because it completely goes against your narrative and bring up points and only points. Alright dude

He completely ignored me as well when I answered his questions. He did not like the answers so he ignored me. I guess when he ignores you that is his way of conceding the argument. He knows he is wrong has been proved wrong now it's time to go sulk in the corner.
