    1. Armia, Joel
    2. Byron, Paul
    Additional Details:
Seattle options at forward are limited, so we give them Joel Armia that we extended in 2020-21, who wouldn't fit in our future team anyways, in order for them to take Paul Byron with two years left. They have a lot of options at defense from other teams, so they could pass on either Chiarot/Mete/Fleury/Edmundson

Not necessary tbh. If you look at Seattle's possible forward options, it's gross. Armia would be a top 6 player and Byron a 3rd liner

Seattle is probably not going to have a lot of room to take on multiple dumps. There will be a lot of teams paying them in picks to take "cap casualties" instead. I doubt exposing Armia is a good enough reason for them to take Byron instead of just selecting Lehkonen, Tatar, Fleury, Mete, Juulsen, or Allen. All of which seem like much better options for them

It depends on their direction. If they're planning to compete, then you're right. But if they're building for the future, then they'll sell a lot of their good players to competitive teams. Also, Lehkonen is protected in my scenario, Tatar is a UFA so I doubt they pick him and risking losing him, Mete will get destroyed playing in the Pacific, Juulsen is a big question mark due to health, and there are better or equal options at goaltending from other teams

No need for Habs to offer extra for Seattle
They only lost Emelin to Vegas
Whoever gets picked/drafted by Seattle won’t be a big loss for Habs either

Emelin was pretty much the best player available. Unloading Byron's cap hit for the two following seasons will be huge

I’d rather not. Byron is better than Goodrow so there’s absolutely no reason to pay to move him. Mete/Juulsen/Fleury/Edmundson are all interchangeable and replaceable by both each other and prospects coming up, so we won’t have to worry about losing any of them (especially Edmundson).
