Stalock is likely staying in MINNY he played well last year at basically ELC price and here they help Tampa - they’d need more to entice them

Stalock was bad, not well at all

He was playing behind a top 3 defensive team and still sucked

I wouldn’t call 2.60 and .910 bad - it’s also probably better then what CM would provide. With near 40 games played and 20 wins I’d disagree with you

His advanced stats have him basically at league average. Certainly not bad, but also not good.

Also, I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you can retain anything past a league minimum contract.

It’s still 50% I believe like normals as Stalock isn’t an elc just a low value contract

And yeah he’s not amazing but he’s not bad. Just “well” maybe I’ll change wording next time but yup I agree, kinda average

$400,000 for a league average goalie with 2 years on his contract sounds pretty good to me. Tampa effectively opens up a mil and maintains, or slightly improves, the backup is worth at least a 3rd. You’d have to make a better offer to MIN to make it happen before the year as it would price them out of getting Rossi in the lineup more than likely. Just my 2 cents, but Stalock to Tampa makes a lot of sense.

Should, but longer term, higher AAV, and full NTC for McDonagh complicates what should be done.

I’ve gotta HUGE bowl of popcorn to watch and see how Tampa gets itself out of this mess...
The expansion draft, declining players on long-term deals and moronic NMCs are really interfering with their ability to get under the cap!
Should be very entertaining...

Oh for sure. But watch Cirelli an Cernak sign league min deals and they move Gourde/Johnson.

Columbus isn’t moving Peeke and Stenlund for Killorn who would end up being a cap dump when Nyquist comes back... home lay idk why everyone is sending Killorn to Columbus, we don’t want or need him.

He had a -16.64 GSAx which was good for 4th last among all goalies with a minimum of 18 games played this year. The only goalies woth a worse GSAx were Dubnyk, Howard and Rinne
