Canucks decline they don't really need to move Eriksson unless they're planning on signing a massive free agent next offseason

I think the Islanders are going to wait and see if Ladd can pass his physical. There is speculation that his knees are shot and he is done. Either way they have enough space to Bridge Barzal and pay out their previously agreed to contracts (Greene, Schnieder, Martin)

I'm not sure where Ryan fits on the Lightning. Maybe on Stamkos' line, depending who is traded/lost, but he's got to prove he can play at that high of a level again.

I'm predicting that he will be a decent middle 6 guy for Detroit and maybe his leadership will hold some value

I'm not sure the Lightning dish out a 2nd for leadership. The young team has matured and leaders have emerged from when it was just a young team with talent in '15. Ryan would have to prove to be a solid Top 6 F for the Lightning to pay a 2nd, and this also assumes there's a hole at WIng on the 2nd line.

I'm surprised you have such a low opinion of Dennis Chowlowski. Dobber Prospects still rates him as Detroit's #1 LD prospect.
