Interesting trade, I think karlsson is still good and would do well on the leafs. However, I don’t like the extra year of term. Also the leafs don’t have the centre depth, nylander cannot play centre he’s pretty terrible at it.

If the Leafs had Kadri still....worst move Dubas ever made, letting Kadri go....

Ya the trade sucked. However i think Kadri was traded for his back to back suspensions. He cost the team twice and people were calling for his neck. Always loved kadri and his contract was a steal but he didn’t help himself.

Leafs have to say no here. no one to replace JT, and out of the two, I think JT stands the better chance of being good longer.

Sharks would have been 100 times off signing Tavares. IMO Tavares is going to be better long term value over his contract. Plus Sharks did not sign Karlsson as a UFA...it cost them plenty of futures in a trade.
Doubt if Karlsson would have signed with Leafs as UFA.
Now you could picture no Tavares, keeping Kadri and signing PIetrangelo.

thank kadri for nixxing the brodie trade, we were getting janikowski and brodie until he invoked his modified no trade clause

still, we got kerfoot who's a solid player (and definitely better than janikowski imo) and we got Brodie for free anyways, so all in all it worked out imo

Seriously you know that doesn’t even remotely get you Kadri back not even a little bit close.

Ugh.

Here we go again.

This team is no better than the current one and there is even less cap space.

NO THANKS!
