I think the Pens would want their 1st round pick back. And hope they don’t pick Amirov!! Hope if the Pens kept the pick it would have been C.Zary, K.Guhle, or H.Lapierre.

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh don't think the leafs were ever getting lehner lol

also, kerfoot is cheaper, younger, signed longer and doesn't get suspended in the playoffs, Kadri is obsolete as a 3C, he's a way better fit in Colorado

Lehner being better is debatable considering freddie was putting up good numbers on a bad defensive team. Give him a dcore like vegas had and he would be in the Vezina conversation

In general Kapenan was great but with time and patience Amirov could develop into someone like Kucherov and sure losing Kadri sucked but give it 2 years and he will be back.

we acquired an equivalent 3C who fit the role more and a top 10 offensive dman in the league lol

it was a great trade, except that babs didn't put barrie on PP1 and he struggled mightily on a weak blue line after everybody got injured

people give barrie a lot of crap because he wasn't a defensive dman who could shut down games, but after Keefe took over he was the 13th highest scoring dman in the league

He was better than a lot of the alternatives we could've put there

as for kerfoot, he broke his jaw and was injury riddled throughout the year, but he's signed 3 more seasons, he'll have a bounceback and be a great 3C / 2LW for us
