Vegas shouldn’t do this imo. This was Marchessault’s worst year production wise since his rookie year (if it wasn’t for Covid, he would probably have finished with around 55-60 points). Don’t get me wrong, Danault would help out Vegas’ roster, but not sure if this trade would help them out.

I don’t see how that helps Montreal at all. If Danault is willing to take a $5 million AAV, then he’s staying in Montreal, no questions asked.

I mean, hes pretty much in his prime and openly said he wants a top 6 role

The habs have 2 young centres Suzuki and Kotkaniemi that are going for his job. I dont see the long term fit for him
