It's from August, just three months ago, and one of the few that Bracco and Poulin are even on as more recent ones only show the top 50

To go more recent, from October post draft

https://theathletic.com/2019881/2020/10/14/nhl-prospect-rankings-wheelers-top-50-post-2020-draft-edition/?redirected=1

Kravtsov is at 39 meanwhile Poulin was cut from the rankings due to the influx of the 2020 draft.

I'll restate my question, which list are you using that puts him in the top 50? or are you just making that up?

It’s from the begining of last season. August, it was a pre-season top 100 prospects. For the 2019-20 season that just ended.

https://www.espn.com/nhl/insider/story/_/id/28870800/ranking-top-50-nhl-affiliated-prospects-hockey-risers-fallers-new-no-1

Poulin 48th.

The hockey writers will have a new one soon. They just put out their top 10 for each team. Their top 100 for This season will be out soon. And Bracco won’t be on it. I guarantee u. Let alone 46 or whatever he was. And Poulin will be 40-60. PO Jospeh will probably be our only other top 100. He’ll probably be 85-99.

And I think SI’s top 100 had Poulin in as the 53rd or 54th. I’ll look

And how he been playing in the Canadian team WJ try-outs/practices/Bubble, he’s gonna probably get a bump up too. Everyone(well from the Pens beat writers, and insiders) say he’s the camp/practice stand-out. And hes been playing on the top line LW.

It’s not an unfair deal... it’s a bad deal...

It’s not an unfair deal(value is there)

It’s a bad deal(doesn’t fill the needs of NYR) and from the sounds of it most PIT fans don’t like it anyways

put the pipe down. The value is not there for the penguins. It's not close.

Even one for one MP for Kravtsov the value is not there.

The closest in value these two teams could get is Kravtsov for POJ.
That's it.

But truth be told neither player is currently ready to make the NHL jump, although both have the possibility.
This isn't a "bad" deal, it's a very unfair deal by someone who vastly over values a prospect.

Oh boy, you realize I’m saying the value is there from a rangers perspective right? This might be hard for someone like yourself to realize but when I say the value is there it means WE(NYR) would accept it. Not at all saying PIT would. But I am also stating that this trade is a step back for us as it doesn’t address our needs, it actually jams us in certain areas. You’re more than welcome to speak on how unbalanced the trade is from a pens point of view, no one is disputing this. Now that I have spelled it out for you I’m thinking we are done here

dude, when talking value on a trade one side just isn't doing it.
Much like the lame duck trade on here where someone tried to trade a pile of not Austin Matthews for Austin Matthews to the penguins.
I mean, it's not like we go there and say, yeah sure. It's no TOR isn't going to accept that. That's what a fair trade means value wise.

Yeah so that's still a year older then my list so i think the one i mentioned would be more up to date. Just out of curiosity, where does Kravtsov rank on that list (as I don't subscribe to ESPN)

So you are comparing the above trade to one that would be a bunch of low prospects for AM? Enough said. You and I no longer be to discuss this

I think you could get jimmy howard for cheaper to be honest. 1 year 1.5 or 2 year 1.25 per

1 year at $700K is too much for Howard.

31st.

I just have a hard time following that hockey writers one with Bracco on it..lol. He was released by Toronto.

Poulin will be 40-60 on this year’s hockey’s writers list. If he’s out of the top 50. It shouldn’t be by much.

How he been playing in the Canadian team WJ try-outs/practices/Bubble, he’s gonna probably get a bump up. Everyone(well from the Pens beat writers, and insiders) say he’s the camp/practice stand-out. And hes been playing on the top line LW. He’s 6’3, 215 too. He grew. Really good size now too and good speed. A good playmaker that can score too.

And I think the top 10 are the A+ prospects. And then top 25 some A+ prospects, some “A” prospects. But from #25-80, they are all “A” prospects. Expected to be all-star caliber players. Some hit though, some don’t!! And then when u get to 80-120 those are the “A-“ prospects with some in there still the “A” prospects. And then past 120/130, you start getting into “B+” prospects. So I don’t see a huge difference b/ween a 30th ranked prospect and a 50th.I think they are both “A” prospects. Like I don’t see a huge difference in a 85th ranked prospect and a 105 ranked prospect. I think they are both “A-“ prospects.
