No. They absolutely do not.

You’re going overboard with your “bruins say no.” I don’t think you’ve liked a trade in 2020.

Cirelli is worth more to Tampa than Brannstrom

They wouldnt do it unless Ottawa added a sweetener

They are. McDonagh's cap hit is $5.5M and by acquiring him, they're over the cap. They could be fine with their internal options without helping a divisional rival. The last thing to do right now is to help them. And I'm not even talking about his contract.
You think McDonagh is still a top pair D, which he isn't.

Tampa isn’t going to get more for cirelli than the equivalent to what an offer sheet would be (a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd). I’d say that’s brannstroms value. Also, Tampa needs elc guys who can step into the lineup more than picks and other teams probably don’t want to trade that many picks in one draft, especially if they’re in lottery contention. So I actually think this deal is quite fair and makes sense for both teams here

No way Brannstrom is worth a 1st, 2nd and a 3rd

I get hes good, but hes not that good. The only defense prospcts that are worth that much right now are Bowen Byram and Jamie Drysdale (Mo Seider and Ty Smith are close, but that would depend on the team's picks and value)

Please explain. I'm trying to understand why Tampa would do the first 2 trades. I get it from Boston and Ottawa's points of view.

Given the term left on the McDonaugh deal, I wonder if the 2nd is even necessary unless it’s for the retention. Getting that money off the books would be huge for Tampa. Also, McDonaugh is a great move for doubling down on the Bruins window.

Retaining for that long is what the second is for in my opinion

Is this last resort? Wouldnt they wanna give up Johnson or Kilorn first and for basically nothing. Someone can fleece them for basically nothing in return for either of those guys...

Cirelli isn't getting traded, if BriseBois can move McDonagh then there's no excuse to trade Antony Cirelli.

I think they decline as well because of cap and term of that contract. Drop the 2nd to a 4th and Bolts retain more maybe. But i don’t think he is the answer either. But the notion of not “helping” Bolts is overblown on here. Bolts are going to fix their problem regardless of who it is that they do it with. Why not benefit from it instead of someone else? This notion of not improving your team because it helps a rival is silly. You do what’s best for your team. Period, Taking a good player from a rival at a discount price weakens them, the only thing your helping is their Cap, which again... they will fix with or without you. Might as well benefit from it. So with that in mind....about Cirelli....😁.

I don't see the benefit in acquiring a 31yo D with a $6.75M salary for 6 more years with a complete NTC when you can probably find a better option somewhere else.

Oh i agree, was not McD i was fighting for, just the notion of “helping:” a rival being so overblown on here.

I wouldn't have minded if they traded/OSed Sergachev, I know the #1 thing is to make your team better.
