Oh and btw as an oiler fan i would want to keep Nuge but in my opinion they could take this deal and then go after him in free agency again

That goalie situation is a tough one for a contending/play-off team.

And I don’t think getting rid of your teams best Defensive pair last year(Muzzin/Holl), would be a good idea either. The Leafs are were lacking on Defense and NHL depth and toughness. All 3 they addressed. Their offense or PP wasn’t the problem

None of these ideas are good ideas for the Leafs, and makes their cap situation going forward worse than it already is.

Leafs aren't giving up Muzzin and a first for an expiring UFA.

Overpay for Ghost.

Campbell/Dell combo for the season would be a disaster.

As a leafs fan no. If I were and oilers fan, I wouldn't see a need for this trade anyway.

All no, lthe Leafs are basically overpaying for all because RNH is on an expiring deal, Ghost just isn't good anymore, and Larsson has had some difficult seasons over the past 4 years.

yeah, this is a much worse team, the leafs trade the best two way defender AND a 1st for a guy they dont need, cripple their goaltending for a guy who was worse (and twice as expensive) as Holl last season and then over pay like hell for an offensive defender they also dont need who is coming off a terrible year.

Oilers probably do that andersen trade.
