even if they're close to playoffs at the deadline, they are better selling off hall and get smtg rather than just letting him walk for nothing

I disagree. If they are in a playoff spot or a couple points out at the TDL they need to keep hall. A 48 game season is really going to be beneficial especially if they get off to another great start like the previous 2 seasons.

i kinda agree but they can't mess up his development cuz if they develop him well, he could be a great winger for eichel

but if they end up not making it then ppl will be mad that they didn't trade hall and just let him walk for nothing

It’s a tough situation, trading Hall when they are still in the race would really upset the coaches and players.

but it would be better down the road a few years unless they got a terrible return or nothing from the return panned out

I spent all last year not wanting a Hall trade to the avs, I feel the same this year especially after seeing how meh he was in the playoffs vs the Avs. I don't mind trading away Kammy and a 1st for a significant rental, but not Timmins.

that would be a no from the Avs.

They didnt want to include TImmins in a trade last year for him as a rental. They wont do it a year later at the TDL especially now that they will really need Timmins to fill in that D core on his ELC, cheap deal as they get more into a cap crunch

With Saad now, they really have 0 need to be adding a guy like Hall at his price. Sakic really doesnt do pure rentals, he typically trades for guys he has desire to keep and sign....Hall would never work cap wise and he already had his chance to join the team.

I think Hall and Avs are a done thing

My guy, it’s 36 year old Stall, who’s on a 3.25 million contract, that would theoretically be more than half paid by the trade deadline and you can only retain 50%, so what are you retaining 300-400k? Def not worth a first
