Unless you are offering Sandin I think the interest in trading Kravtsov is pretty low

Oh look, a leafs trade where the leafs get something of high value for something that is of less value. Haven’t seen that a million times before.

Their values are quite different, Amirov still has a high chance of busting, Kravtsov does not

what makes u think that? there is clearly tension between kravtsov and NYR. He must be in trade talks for a reason and he didn't produce that well in the ahl so your probably right but I could be right

Kravtsov doesn't have a high chance of busting? He is weeks away from turning 21, has not played a single NHL game, and in the AHL last season he produced (15 points in 39 games) at a small fraction of what Sandin managed to do at more than a year younger (28 points in 44 games).

What is this based on?

Edit: Specifically the high chance/low chance of busting.

One is more developed than the other. It's as simple as that. Both are solid prospects but one is more likely to succeed right now than the other.

I'm not sure I agree with this. The logic behind what you're saying makes sense, don't get me wrong. But specific to this situation, what strides has Kratsov made in his development that make him more likely to succeed than Amirov? 40ish pretty unimpressive games in the AHL as well as continuing to play in the K? To me that doesn't signify lower bust potential.

Well their overall production in the KHL definitely gives the edge to Kravtsov right now. Besides trading for another LW is not at all what NYR needs to be doing

Oh, I'm not defending the trade; I don't really think it makes sense for either team. I just don't think either player can be accurately labelled more or less likely to bust at this time.

I think it is to early to tell with Amirov where as with Kravtsov we have a better idea

Don't get wrong, I like Amirov a lot and have for some time, but was your post seriously supposed to change anybody's mind?

Like, I was indifferent before I saw your post, now I'm leaning towards Kravstov >
