you wouldn't need to give up a first for Getzlaf, I think that 2nd and maybe a 5th what do it, especially since the ducks now that he is just going to go back to them in free agency

Unless Stastny doesn't work out, why would the Jets trade for a C??

If anything, we are going to try out Samberg and Heinola and get a LD at the TDL if it doesn't work out

Getzlaf never waives for Winnipeg, shouldn't waste another 1st on another rental anyway.

I dont know...a good old Sask boy coming close to home for a playoff run before returning to sunny SoCal the next year? I agree that you dont give up a first...in fact I never wanna see the jets trade a first unless it's for a superstar.

The California teams are the NHL versions of retirement homes, it's nice to think of a prairie kid waiving to go on one last run with the Jets but in reality it isn't happening, sorry to be a negative Ned but I don't see it happening.

Totally agree about trading 1sts, it's such a bad move for a team based in Winnipeg and really it's your best of odds of getting a legitimate NHL player, anything after the 1st round I'm fine with trading but 1sts should be treated like gold by Chevy, still can't believe he's traded two already.
