They traded Andersen because they had Gibson. Why would they trade him back for Andersen

Um... why would you think the difference between Anderson and gibson is a 4th and a 7th.

Gibson is better than Andersen.

Gibson is younger than Andersen.

Gibson is signed for SIX MORE YEARS than Andersen.

In short, the difference in value between Gibson and Andersen is roughly William Nylander -- not that either team would make that trade.

even then, they have no reason to trade gibson, They picked a solid prospect in the second round who turned out to be a top 10 goalie, and they've got him signed through his prime. All of their current and future prospects could develop and join the team and gibson will still be under contract playing relatively in his prime
