Trouba's long term 8m cap hit is probably not tradable, unless similar long term cap is returned. 8m for Trouba? Too much when he signed, and certainly too much in a non rising cap league

Also it's a myth that he was bad in 19-20.

Ruff used him in a very defensive role when he should be used in a more offensive one.

Also I know his offensive number dropped but his defense was actually better than expected (I don't care what analytics say)

He's overpaid by 1,5 mil but he's not an awful d-man like everyone claims he is

Why would Trouba waive his NMC from New York City to Sunrise, Florida When his Wife is going to be a Dr there in New York City? Let's be realistic here Trouba isn't waiving from a team that he wants to play for and be with his Wife.

He only wanted to play in NY because his wife studied there. As far as I'm aware, should could work at any hospital in the US. Which would/could include Miami, so Sunrise fits

They have sick people everywhere. Hard to really say without knowing her speciality/focus.

A good benefit is there is no state income tax in Florida vs NY which has one of the highest effective tax rates.

Hes a second pair dman who should be making max 5 mil a year. Hes completely overpaid and is going to take a lot to move.

Penguins don't have 4.75 for Strome, and they don't have anywhere to magically squeeze it out from either, unless you want to take Matheson from us.
There is virtually no where on the penguins to get cap from out side of the top 6, which isn't changing and the top 4 defense, also not changing.
The only two other players making anything are Tanev, which they aren't going to move, and McCann, who they also aren't going to move, at least not yet. We'll see as the season goes.

Id still take Weegar over him (regardless of their contracts) Weegar is elite defensively and provides so much value on defense. Troube is kinda all over the place, not really that exceptional anywhere.

Weegar is a 5d that had to move up last year and was solid. Trouba is overpaid by 1m yet better and a bigger presence. Reality

lmao no. Weegar is an elite defensive force that is also good offensively. Trouba was just bad overall this year
