Datsyuk does not play on this team. He's too old.

Also I don't think Malkin and Ov play the same lines for Russia. I don't know if it's a personal thing or what there was bad blood there. But I can't ever remember seeing them on the same line.

I believe the old beef has long since been squashed, but when you know Ovi and Kuzy are so sick together, it makes so much more to split them up.

I don't know, I can't remember ever seeing them on the same line for Russia, like ever. Maybe on the power play? But to be honest I can't remember.
I just know he's usually paired with Gusev the last few times.

I can't speak to World Championship stuff, but I know they played together at Sochi. The line was Ovechkin-Malkin-Semin, with the 2nd line being Kovalchuk, Datsyuk and Radulov I think.

I won't speculate about how close they are now, but I know it was very public that Kovalchuk sat them down and basically forced them to hash things out. I think most of the beef stemmed from a fight at a club or something to that effect. You can tell even from watching them play each other that the hatred isn't there like it was. It's almost a shame because there it was so much fun to watch, and there's not nearly enough of that hatred among star players anymore. The last really good fued was Kesler/ Johansson.
