It not like this year’s FA goalie class and the Pens had no leverage with M.Murray. They couldn’t keep both either with the expansion draft and paying both with the flat cap. Arizona doesn’t have either of those problems. You would have to pay up to probably get him now.

change that 2nd rounder for a first and Arizona might say yes. Also I don't see Arizona being interested in Russel someone like Benson or Cooper might be more interesting.

Goalies don't go for more than a 2nd round pick usually because he would be moved at the trade deadline. Especially with only 1 year on the contract in front of the expansion draft its all wasted assets. You either extend Kuemper and lose Koskinen or let him hit free agency and lose him there.

i would drown Benson in a shallow puddle for kuemper because i don't think he will be more than a tweener.
