1) Either Alexis Lafreniere will be good but not to the point he should be or Chris Kreider will be a cap dump in a season or two.
2) Boston won't make the playoffs with the defense they have.
3) Matt Murray will bring Ottawa close to a playoff spot.

Comment down below some of your hot takes.

My COVID stays bad takes:
They try a Canadian Division and it looks great against each other then fails miserably against the US teams when the Playoffs start.
The border is closed so trades and waiver claims are basically limited to which side of the border a team is on.
One team has a COVID outbreak and infects 3 other teams before it's caught. The schedule gets reworked on the fly and teams end up with uneven number of games played.
The NHL does some sort if Play-in round again.
The TDL sees lots of overpays (compared to normal years) due to less sellers, more buyers, and teams willing to punt on this year's draft.
The last two weeks of the season are played in 4 bubble cities (all Divisional games). Playoffs are in bubbles again.
Limited fans allowed in some (but not all) arenas.

Toronto tops their division then crashes out first round again.

San Jose succeeds in a weeker division and sees themselves being buyers at the deadline. But bow out early in the post season.

Boston misses the post season on account of the "group of death" east division.

Tampa and St Louis grow to truly hate each other as divisional rivals.

MacKinnon wins the Hart Trophy.

Kuemper wins the Vezina. Hart finishes top 3.

Vancouver has the best powerplay in the league.

1) This year will be the worst year competition wise for hockey.
2) Pittsburgh traded the wrong goalie and it becomes very evident this season when they try and rely heavily on jarry.
3) Bostons defense is going to be better than everyone thinks.
4) (Pending where playoff alignment goes) If canada and pacific align canada has 5 teams in the playoffs, if canada and atlantic align canada only has 3 teams in the playoffs.
5) ill do playoff predictions by division (assuming canada and pacific are together): Atlantic: Philly, Boston, Rangers, Washington Central: Tampa, Carolina, St. Louis, Columbus Pacific:Colorado, Vegas, Dallas Canadian: Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Montreal
