Raangers likely wouldn't make that trade. But armia would get you something elsewhere

Even if they are in a playoff spot? What about the value?

Which team could try to get him you think? Nashville or Boston maybe?

Definitely NSH but they're not making the playoffs IMO.

I could see the Rangers trading for Armia 100%. (assuming they are a buyer)
I doubt they give up a roster player like Lemieux though.
Picks and prospects only.

Rangers aren’t trading Lemieux unless they already have an upgraded Lemieux. Too many younger, soft, skilled wingers.

It would need to be a drastic overpayment otherwise, and this isn’t it.

/\ /\ /\ Lemieux provides a unique toughness to our young skilled squad, although his value as a player probably isn't very high, his value as a tough enforcer is very useful to our team

Not only that it’s a massive overpay, throwing the 2nd in there is like putting lipstick on a pig.

I think the Rangers could be an interesting partner for a Danault deal.

If I'm MTL I'd be eyeing up one of NYR's RD prospects.

On RD they've got Lundkvist and Schneider as their top 2 prospects, imo.

I like the fit. MTL's prospect pool at that position isn't great and NYR could use a 2C and I think Danault's particular skillset (particularly his defensive play) would be beneficial to the team and especially some of their young wingers.

What do they do with Strome. Probably getting trade out?

I think he could probably just play out his contract. Only two years.

Yeah, a 1st 3rd and B prospect for a dude who disappears in the playoffs and a 2nd yeah. Sakic has never traded a 1st, much less for a rental they couldn’t pay going forward. That’s an easy easy pass on an over pay.
